Forza Motorsport (2023)

WARFRAME
(Sound Re-Design)

Warframe has some of the most intense, detailed, and overall beautifully crafted cinematics in gaming, so I had to get my hands on one for a sound re-design. This particular scene features Mag, and is absolutely jam packed with opportunities for creative sound design. I loved every minute of working on it!

All of the sound design was done entirely within Pro Tools, and I used a combination of manipulated samples, original recordings, and synthesis with custom made patches.

I'm thrilled to share with you part of my journey as a Sound Designer at Turn 10 Studios for Forza Motorsport (2023). This is the First-Time User Experience (FTUE) cinematic the player will experience when they launch the game for the very first time, and I was given the honor of handling 100% of the sound design and music for the entire cinematic.
To create the music, I chopped up samples from the entire soundtrack of Forza Motorsport into tiny micro-pieces, and proceeded to pitch shift, time stretch, process, and otherwise completely mutilate all of the samples, creating an entirely new and unique piece of music.

HORIZON: FORBIDDEN WEST

Hope everyone's doing well! Here is my sound design rescore of Aloy's intense battle with a very irritated Tremortusk. The sound design was completed entirely within Pro Tools, using a combination of Krotos Dehumaniser, Weaponiser, and Reformer, original recordings, and manipulated samples. Speaking of the Krotos Dehumaniser, we used it on my 6yo son's voice and layered him into the voice of the Tremortusk, and he absolutely LOVED it.

This is a very detailed action sequence that has an incredible amount of possibilities for creative sound design. The more I dug in, the more opportunities I found. It was like digging for gold!

Being a member of the incredible Audio Team at Turn 10 Studios has been the experience of a lifetime. This video shows a glimpse into the work I've contributed to the much-anticipated Forza Motorsport (2023). Sounds I designed include the Logo Parade, multiple UI SFX, and pre/post-race on-track scene mixing using FMOD.

SUBNAUTICA: BELOW ZERO

Here's the Sound Design-only version of the cinematic trailer for survival/horror game Subnautica: Below Zero. I absolutely loved this game! Everything you hear is original material and was completed entirely within Pro Tools.

Also, the source sounds for the baby pengwing peeps and giant ice worm roar is my 6yo son! We used Krotos Dehumaniser, and had a blast. He’s quickly becoming my sound design partner.

I CATCH YOU - Score Relief 2022

My entry for the Cue Tube’s Score Relief 2022 competition. The included voiceover lent itself to an ominous vibe, so I went with more of an unnerving atmospheric sound design approach, rather than music.

This scoring competition doubles as a fundraising event by The Cue Tube in support of "In Place of War," a global charity supporting grassroots music and arts projects in regions affected by war and conflict.
